Scavengers are one of, if not the most important jobs in Meteor City. Scavengers are the brave civilians who ride out usually in a van seeking out new destinations to explore and gather things from to bring back into Meteor City. They expose themselves to outlaws, mutated creatures, zombies and vampire slavers to do their job – but luckily by arming themselves along with the protection of the Shotgun Knights Scavengers usually make it back safely into the comfort of their city. They bring in food and other great treasures that make Meteor City tick. They usually ride out in organized caravans twice or three times a week – and spend the out four days using what they find to find to build new homes or make what establishments they already have better places to live and be. Scavenging, aside from being a Shotgun Knight, is the most perilous yet necessary job and not recommended for the faint of heart. Each day prior to a hunt, a list is drawn up by the residents of Meteor City, and the scavengers try their best to retrieve what they can.

Scavengers operate in teams that usually feature a Team Leader and a Medic. Anyone can join a Scavenger team, though it’s a rare occurrence that anyone not dedicated to the sheer lunacy and bravery that the job requires will decide to join in out of nowhere.

 

Vampires are the only other group that host scavenging teams which is usually compromised of slaves and their masters.
